Bean Me Up! Another Persian Culinary Delight!

Black beans. Kidney beans. Lima beans. There is a rich and tasty variety of this vegetable on our planet, and there are many great things you can prepare with it. Chili, sweet bean paste, or you can even put them in your burger to make it a little more ‘tex-mex’.

What Persians like to do with beans is a dish called ‘baghali ghatogh’, basically a bean stew, which is vegetarian, or can even be made as a vegan dish, if you don’t poach the eggs in the stew. This very tasty meal is usually served with rice, and if you want to, you can always have some grilled turkey or chicken with it, to fulfill your carnivorous cravings.
